I cleaned up the tracker as it had lost a lot of the links/formatting. Let me know if there are any issues with it.
As far as I know, my vehicle still sits in KC. Even though the Ford email said estimated dealer arrival by tomorrow. Between Ford tracker, order track, and chat I have no reason to believe it has moved.

I am still waiting shipment as well. Ford email said delivery to dealer 7/17-/7/23....but it still shows in KC. This wait is really getting old.
Looks like we got lost in the shuffle. There’s no telling when our trucks will ship now, and I have zero faith in the estimated delivery date.

I talked to Ford chat on June 17th and was given an ETA of 8/6 to 8/12. Fast forward to when the tracker changed from Built to In Transit the ETA was 7/17 to 7/23. Then I receive the "Shipping your truck" email and the ETA is 7/30 to 8/6. I am going to do my best to stay away from the chat and trying to track the rail car.

I feel for you guys that have not received In transit/shipped notifications. The rollercoaster continues when you do finally get that information. I hope they can ship your trucks via Truck Carrier instead of rail. My notification says shipped but the rail car is invalid still and I am willing to bet my truck is just sitting in a rail yard in Kansas City.

This is why I hate rail.

Mine went from Argentine Railyard (KC area) to Bluisland Railyard, just south of Chicago, via BNSF. It then got on CSX and is currently at railyard in Willard Ohio since 3 am this morning. Final destination is the Lordstown Railyard just outside Youngstown.

That is a total of 809 miles in 9 days. If my math is correct that is like 3.75 miles per hour. I could have walked that faster.

Rail is the most inefficient shipping method there is. A truck would have been here in 2 days max.

But I will be waiting a few more days at least for it to make that long 100 mile trip to Lordstown rail yard. Then who knows how long until a truck picks it up for that 9 mile trip to dealer.

2 hours away and it will be 2 weeks until it gets to the dealer, if I am lucky.

That’s ridiculous. I hope if mine ever ships, it ships convoy.

Mine said "CONVOY" on the window sticker, but it was shipped by train about 400 miles and shipped by truck from the railyard to my dealer about 30 miles by truck; central Oklahoma. About 6 days from Ford at KC to Oklahoma City.

Well, learned some stuff today.

A lot of rail cars are not owned by the rail companies. TTG owns a bunch and these are rented/leased by rail companies. They are also pooled between rail companies.

This means cars are shared between companies. No need to unload a BNSF car and load into a CSX or Pacific railcar.
Just unhook from one and hook to another. That means you can track rail car numbers regardless of carrier. No change in car number.

Also, for anyone goin through the Gibson railyard in indiana. There are no lots or holding areas. Just car tranfers. No unloading of railcars here.

Ford seems to be 2 days, maybe a little more, behind in railcar location. Im sure the automated data transfer takes a bit of time.

Doesnt speed up trains, but hope this helps in tracking.

Thats how it leaves the plant. Mine also stated convoy. It went via truck 20 miles from KC assembly plant to the Argentine Railyard.

@Tobstertx3 I know you’re probably busy and giddy as a school girl but I am living vicariously through you as today was my second missed delivery date. Let’s see those pictures when you get it!

Hey all, well made it to Oklahoma. 530 miles and 8 hours. Now down to the details while I enjoy a cold beer at the hotel.

I arrived at Granger at 8.40am. Scheduled time was 9am but I wanted to spend a good 10-15 mins giving the truck a thorough inspection. After about 10 mins Chip came out to see me and introduced himself, right away could tell he was a genuine guy and overall just wants to help. Chip was not my sales person. Chip said Finance was ready for me when I wanted and went to get the keys to open the truck for me to inspect the inside. Overall, truck looked perfect, no paint issues, fitment, or rust issues that I could see in the 15-20 mins giving it a good going over and I am very very picky.

I went into Granger office at 9am and walked out at 9.20am, everything completed. Chip came back over and said he wanted to demo a few things for me and ensure I had my phone and Ford Pass connected. Chip spent about 15 mins going over a few things and was very helpful. Overall @Granger Ford experience has been A+.

Now what we’ve all been waiting for, the truck. Well over the 500 miles the truck performed flawlessly. I am coming from a 2020 2.7EB to a 2022 2.7EB and expected the engine to be the same but it feels so much more powerful. The immediate response as well as the pull at the top end seems significantly more powerful, even up at 95 it still has lots of power (Obviously tested on a closed circuit ?). Braking seems more responsive too. The overall feel of the truck seems more luxurious, now that may be because I am coming from an XLT to a Lariat but it feels so plush inside. I am so happy, spent the 8 hours listening to my favorite tunes and singing away, was a good ride down from Iowa. Oh yeah, Iowa drivers are much more courteous that Texans!

If there is one thing that I feel is a bit meh that I have noticed so far, It would be the gear shifter (which others have commented on), just doesn’t feel as strong or firm as the previous gen. And why does Ford still give you 5ft long aerial, what’s that about in 2022?!?!

Another 500 miles to eat up tomorrow. Planning on heading out early so I can spend some time cleaning off all the bugs as well as starting with my mods once I get home.

Hang in there guys, it is soooo worth the wait!!!

Your thoughts echo mine. I went from a 2.7 to a 2.7 and I feel it is more smooth and responsive. I haven't got on it yet, though. I went from an XLT to a Lariat as well and it is much plusher. I don't detect any lack of firmness with the shifter, although I have nothing to refence to. Had a column shifter on the XLT. Congrats on the truck! Beautiful!
