Yep. Is that the chip purgatory death wish?
Yes.... unfortunately, but there are trucks slipping through with them... if they have parts, they do to the line right away vs the trucks on chip hold as Ford's #1 priority over all else is profit and its WAY cheapers not to double handle vehicles if at all possible. So it is not a first in, first out scenario.

That sucks. I feel like I definitely have no room to complain since other people have been waiting since last year and still don't have a truck. Hopefully this chip situation doesn't drag on for months for me

This is true, you could be like me.
Ford F-150 4/18/22 Build Week 087E7C8B-7E73-4B5C-87C9-0639F7E3E511
My dealership made a mistake when changing my order from a 2021 to a 2022 and forgot the auto stop/start removal. Was on chip hold until last week when I got the email from ford it was built and later shipped. Email says it’s in transit and expected at my dealer between May 09-17. I checked with dealer who claims they researched and found it’s on a train right now. Seriously doubt that tho.

Yea the dealer told me 4-6 months from order date. So it sounds like it could take as long as August or so...

To be honest, even if it takes a little while, still better than paying 5-10k over MSRP with a truck on the lot that doesn't have what I want.

And that is something I forgot to have removed (Auto stop-start)

My original order was placed in September of 2021. These dealers are all shady. Totally lying to customers on probable wait times. I was told 3-4 months because it was a customer order. Meanwhile the dealership messed up my order thus putting me on a chip hold. Lost $4k on my trade in value. You’re absolutely right about the prices of the vehicles on the lots today. Needless to say I’m going to get the best price possible once this truck arrives.

I think if the Ford App shows shipped and the OrdersApp shows 'In Transit' your likely good.

You might want to remove it, as it is a PITA and will delay your truck

They’re telling the truth. I tried this by having it escalated to the ford rep and was told once the vin is produced that’s it.

Yea just got off the phone with them, basically told me I'm SOL. Let the real wait begin

Sorry man, I went through it myself and I can tell you it does suck. I’m not even sure if my truck was shipped ready to go
Or if it’s missing chips. Guess I’ll maybe find out in may?

Yea, all good. I am sure I will be happy either way once its here. Its just crazy to me that they have trucks on the lot with less features for 15k more than I'm about to pay.
