Chat confirmed a new chip window, the 19th through 25th came and went.


Thanks again for waiting! From what I can gather, your truck is currently on hold at the plant waiting on a microchip. We are working closely with our suppliers to address production constraints tied to the global semiconductor chip shortage. The delay is estimated to be resolved as early as May 6th, but no later than May 12th. Please kindly note this date may change to a sooner date if the microchip is secured before estimated, but you're more than welcome to check periodically with us, or the selling dealer to see if there's an update on that.

My lady told me yesterday 4-10 May, she said delivery to dealer. Obviously I thanked her but I seriously think she meant to say chip release or chips arrive on a boat in a container in CA somewhere then has to be transported by ox pulled wagons to Dearborn.

She also suggested I remove cruise control to speed things up....so there's that option.

I've had thoughts on moving on, but I already have a tonneau cover and bed rack in my garage. 3 plus weeks on chip hold with basically no information from Ford is starting to get infuriating

Same. I am ready to pull the trigger on a Silverado ZR2, but I bought Husky front/rear Xact liners, WeaterTech rear wheel well liners, and a Retrax Pro bed cover..

Well, today is the day! Truck landed over the weekend and I'm heading to the dealership in a couple hours to pick her up. After 9 months of waiting and refreshing various apps and webpages its actually happening!

At this point I'm guessing this is all a "first in, last out" situation. Or in my case, "last out, first in". Your blend date was 3 days before me so you got dunked in a lot somewhere and because mine finished after it was faster to grab for the missing parts. If this shortage continues they should redesign the lots so that the First In vehicles are also first out. There are still January trucks waiting which is bonkers.

I may have missed this but are the long waiting chip hold members (Think January and such) more of tremors and broncos or are there F-150s in the mix?

I’ve looked at everyone’s stickers and there’s no rhyme or reason. So your explanation makes more sense than anything else
