weird twist....getting my truck today the tech said this recall didnt apply to me (im only Tow Technology, not Max Tow).

i dont know if thats correct, but he said he updated that it was done, but FordPass
still shows incomplete.

Finally back in my truck. I asked this Morning when I would be able to pickup my truck and was told they didn’t know if they could get to it today. That was a no go. I was nice but got my point that I at least needed to know when they would start the repair. Then called my sales guy and he was also able to help. They called a tech in to make sure they finished mine. They said they also took care of the recall but my ford connect app still says incomplete.
How long does it take to update the ford connect app?

I believe Ford Motor Company and my Dealer KNEW of this defect BEFORE I bought my truck. I believe they made a "business decision" that it would be cheaper and easier for THEM to sell me their failure and worry about dealing with me later.

Just curious why you think so? Especially the dealership. How would they know?

Makes sense now why the "forced" bypass would start to melt plastic bits eventually, or at least bake them brittle. Going to be interesting to see if there is a certain range of blend dates that incorporated this vendor source for the part, so that folks here could be aware of the potential for failure.

No idea why your part Is taking so long. Did you triple-check with parts to make sure they didn’t order -S? That’s what happened to me on 2/23 and didn’t catch that mistake until 3/9.

I sent my dealer multiple emails and txt messages about this they confirmed that they ordered the “W” revision

Wrong -S part ordered: 2/23/22. Re-ordered -V: 03/09/22.

Going through the thread there was @dmarkjohn, @mhillis, @spikerS, @F150Novice, @SPARKY150, @Thunderchief, @Camper1969. Did @Snakebitten ever have the problem?

Lastly, how about a column for “Total Days Without Truck?” The winner for most total days gets a backordered prize. ?

I have a Job1 2021 Platinum Powerboost. I have been fortunate and not had a single issue of any kind in 12 months. Still, I am interested in any bypass solution just in case. Especially since my blend date for my new 2022 Powerboost was 2 days ago.
