By what I was reading in the other f150 forum they were doing away with the cable and going back to the stickers and programming the camera to pick the sticker up.

I haven’t seen how that all works with the stickers. I’ll have to look up some install videos.

I think they were just going back to how it was with the 15-20 models but they didn’t have the software programmed for the 21’s so made a cable then they went away from that idea as 21 progressed.

I started a thread to see if this is a 22 change across the board but figured I would ask my build week family.

Has everyone that has taken delivery received the pro trailer backup cable and sensor?

No cable or sensor in mine either. Just the stickers and the 7-4 connector.

Page 430 of my manual - stickers come with the system now:

Use the supplied sticker placement card, a tape measure and pen to carefully mark the area to attach the sticker. The sticker is in the back cover pocket of your quick start guide​

Same page - Sensor (and cable, assuming) can be purchased but don't come with the truck

TRAILER SENSOR INSTALLATION You need to purchase a sensor kit and 7/12 way connector to replace the 7/4 way connector on your vehicle to setup the system with a sensor. See your authorized dealer.​

I would think it would be cheaper to install a part and program it to the truck instead of buying and producing a adapter that can easily lost. But maybe that’s what fords thinking is well if all of our trucks lose this adapter they’ll have to come buy it at a significant mark up price and we will make money on it. I think it’s dumb because most of your trailering needs are used on the 4 pin plug instead of a 7 pin unless you have a camper or a multi axle trailer

And now on my 21 need that dumb adapter again. It’s so stupid. But my 21 has the wire harness for the no man card back up assist.

I need to remember to dig mine out of the tool box where it went when I got the 21 home. Something I have to pay for to get the other stuff I want that I’ll never use

Trucks use to never come with anything then they started putting the 4 pin on as a standard feature then everyone was buying the 7 pin. I guess us truck guys will never be satisfied hahaha

@TN Rotty Just picked up! No issues at all. Dealer did free 300 mi radius so I did a 1 way rental about 4 hrs away to meet. They told me to get it detailed and they will reimburse me up to $150! Best car buying experience ever !
