In the meantime I reached out to my local CU that offers to beat any rate by 2%. I went ahead and applied and it looks like they already beat Ford. 2.99/75mo or 3.99/84 mo. Yeh same mindset here. Even thou I can afford the lower interest/mo with higher payment, I am opting for the lower payment and just pay extra. Will still be saving on interest if I pay off early.

I have financing sorted out via my local credit union. They had better rates than Ford (Granger) would offer.

Someone else at Granger (can't recall his name) just called me and said he needed my SSN for the title application. Does that sound correct? Something seems off with that request. He was also speaking to me as if he didn't know I had already contacted Chip and someone in finance and wanted to sell me on financing rates.

If I'm bringing my own financing, why do they need that information? I declined and told him I would give in person if he can show me why he needed it.

So update on my delayed/pushed out delivery times so my truck has made by train to the rail yard in Delaware. It was unloaded 1/5 so my truck has been sitting for a month waiting delivery. Dealer gave me a print out of my history to go along with my visit today. Was told weather could be a factor in why it hasn’t been delivered and also the shipping company probably doesn’t have a “full” load” for it to be delivered. Kinda frustrating when you look at other dealer inventory in the area with vehicles built around the same time as yours and they are being delivered. Just frustrated hoping the wait brings a lot of joy when the time of delivery comes.

Also they told me that ford is experiencing another parts/chips shortage also. So we all should be glad we are getting our trucks now.

I couldn't activate until I was in my truck and could confirm activation on the infotainment screen. Have others been able to activate otherwise?

I was activated earlier. Guess it was still in the factory. What changes was when i tried to change the name, could not figure it out, so deleted the vehicle to start over. Every since then it has been saying 'pending activation'.

My Tremor sat in KC for a month a few hours away from Granger until it got delivered, just waiting for a trailer and driver. They won't deliver without full loads. It was very frustrating. On the bright side, you're built and missed the whole delayed until May for a chip fiasco. That's what kept me sane.

Yea I’m glad it got built before all of the news coming out about the shortages. I’m hoping delivery by the weekend. I understand the reason for optimizing delivery trucks.

Ok folk - first apologies for missing some posts or asking questions that had been already asked. I've tried to catch some of these posts during the day and then update at night and I appear to be missing something. Also, either I'm nuts, or my browser appears to be missing/skipping some new posts - they appear later when I look, so I know it's not an "ignore" setting.

Gotcha. I was told by Granger that I was a 12/20 build week, more specifically 12/22 as the exact day. Then I never heard anything until I received the built email from ford on 1/5. Should I still join the 1/3 build group instead of this one?

To me the Blend date is the build date. So I'm good with you here. I'll add you to the list and if you are in both this one and 1/3 - that's fine. We can get you into only one later. I think that tracker has some whack applied to it and I don't trust it for build dates.

I’m same boat. Sticker shows 12/22 for a Blend Date. Modules didn’t pop till after the first of the year. And tracker shows production beginning 1/3 and built 1/12

I've set your build date back to 12/22 - I think the 1/12 is a red herring.

No clue the significance, but I just checked the Ford tracker & looked at the window sticker. The date at the bottom of the sticker has changed again. Previously it was 01/25/22. When I checked just now, the date is 02/02/22.

Just guessing on my part, but I wonder if that date at the bottom changes when something if significance happens. Such as when the truck was loaded on the railcar. (01/25/22). And maybe today (02/02/22) it's being loaded on car transporter for the trip from Petersburg Ramp up to the dealer in Ashland.

Norfolk Southern told me the railcar carrying my truck got to Petersburg Ramp (CA2L) Sunday morning (01/30/22).

The date on the bottom of the window sticker changes any time there is an update in the Ford system, some of which we can't see a reason for. What is your blend date on the top of the sticker?

Blend date is 12/23

360 assist is not Adaptive Steering (AS). AS is on KRs and Plats and Limiteds. It became an option in April for Plats and KRs, but the build and price STILL does not show that. The order guide does.

It's basically less turns of the steering wheel at low/very low speeds.

I'm not sure on this. I've had one dealer tell me they use it for the Patriot Act to make sure you're not a terrorist laundering money through buying a car.
It could be possible Chip and he have not spoken - but I would be very cautious. I see no issues in waiting till you are on site. It may delay your paperwork slightly at time of pick up - but better that than ID theft.

Yep - After I paid for the truck (over the phone/internet). Dexter sat in the truck while I did the FordPass activation. He had to go back to it again to accept/set the GPS tracking ability. Once he did that, I could track it, honk the horn, flash lights, etc.

As long as someone is in the truck with the key and working you (at another location) on your phone, you can activate it remotely.
