Build date week of 1-31-2022. IconicSilver Platinum Powerboost. Dealer said I’d likely not receive it until early March. Started this ordeal September 2021.

Everyone knows you can’t get the boat until you get the truck.

Ordered my Limited on September 21st, and finally got a VIN, and my dealer claims that the order says build week of 1/31. I never got an email, my VIN doesn't work in any tracking site.. Should I be concerned that my dealer is blowing smoke. I keep seeing people getting these email notifications, and I didn't get jack.. What are your thoughts?

You could ask your dealer for a screenshot showing your status from the Vehicle Visibility System. That would provide actual proof. Apparently it's super-easy for the dealer to set up your order status at the time of order, but if they don't do it right away, you're out of luck for the entire process.

I got a picture from them that looks like an excel spread sheet with my order date, build date, VIN, etc.. is that what you are talking about? seemed pretty sketchy to me, but it's that's it is, then maybe we are good!

Been waiting so long for my Limited, and i'm getting soo antsy.

I have a 22 on order since October and I have never received an email from Ford. It seems to be hit or miss on emails from what I read on this and other forums.

I just check in with my dealer for updates every few weeks or so for an update. They just send me a screenshot of my order with the latest info. So chances are you’re fine.

I never got an email and my VIN doesn’t work in any of the trackers either. I’m wondering if it’s too early to track. Not sure why some of us don’t get these emails from Ford.

I ask because I submitted 11/12 and thought that I'd finally get it "picked up" by now regardless of what the build week will be.

(My order is actually a KingRanch, but I heard the constraints were similar)

Meanwhile I am actually in a 2021 Platinum Powerboost. Incredible truck.

My ordeal started at one dealer, then another dealer had a Limited on the lot that I stopped to drive. Long story short, I didn't get the Limited, but that dealer called me with an order from a person who changed their mind. This moved me up in the priority chain. If I was still at the original dealer I ordered from, I am not sure I'd have a build date yet. So in essence, I jumped the line when someone else cancelled their order.

One lesson learned, the original dealer was very hesitant to give me my "deposit" back. I only got it back after I went in and sat F2F with the GM. Then he politely gave it back, no problem. But before him, it was shaping up to be a pi$$ing contest.
