The Ford tracker advised that the dealer received the truck today 11/15. One step closer. Can anyone advise how long dealer prep takes?

So even though our truck is not due to arrive in WA until December 2, we went to our dealership last Thursday with a quote from CarMax for our F-350 to negotiate the trade-in value. We ended up trading in the old truck and signed all of the purchasing and financing paperwork. This way my husband can pick up the new truck when it arrives even if I am out of town.

Here are a few valuable lessons learned:

First, if you are going to finance, make sure that you cancel or lift any credit freezes for Experian and Equifax. I forgot that I had put a freeze on my credit after a massive data breach earlier this year and did not have my login information. It took forever trying to lift the freezes over the phone with both agencies! Do it from home where you have your passwords and PINs.

Next, print out any emails or screenshots of incentives and offers you think you should have and take them with you. The day prior to purchasing your truck, call Ford Marketing at 1-800-334-4375 and ask what they have in your profile for incentives. I had a $750 PCO from August which had expired on October 31. Ford Marketing had the same certificate # in their system but had an updated expiration date of April 1, 2022. I also specifically asked about the $1,000 custom built cash offer, PGM #38150. The agent looked it up and gave me a certificate # to give to the dealership.

We ended up with $3550 in incentives off of the X-Plan pricing. The last two listed were not in SmartVincent. If I had not provided the certificate #s, the dealership would not have known about them.

Finally, if you're going to get an extended warranty, read the posts in this forum before picking up your truck! We did not expect to complete all of the financing paperwork on Thursday since the truck isn't even on the lot yet so I was not prepared. My husband talked them down, but we still spent $500 more than if we had purchased directly from Flood Ford.

Overall, I'm pleased with our price and will now sit somewhat patiently while our truck makes it way from Minnesota (currently) to Washington.

For anyone that ordered from Chapman, Granger, or Koons, are you reaching out to review or handle the paperwork before getting there or applying for financing through Ford a few days out, etc. ? I would think it would make pick up a lot easier if everything was detailed out before flying out.

Yes, I reached out to Chapman when my truck shipped they said to wait on submitting for financing until the truck reaches the dealership. I also asked about the ESP and if they were interested in matching the quotes I had received. They provided the same quote as Flood and andersonandkoch but were $40 above zeigler. They also said that quote was plus tax so I need to do more research and see if the others add tax as well. If they do I will just get it through Chapman if not that would be an addl $150 sooo not sure.

I should add that the Ford credit app is good for 30 days.

I did the ford credit last night. Got to work on trade. I have 2018 limited with 32k miles for trade.

When I ordered back in August I locked in with a $2500 PCO. In the mail today I received a $3000 PCO that I’m using instead along with the $1000 factory order rebate. Nice little surprise

I've tried everything imaginable for PCO but I haven't had a Ford account for 4 years. Not sure if I'm black-balled from offers.
