If there were comparable options from any other manufacturer I probably wouldn't have waited. I actually bought a new Tacoma last year because none of the full size trucks appealed to me at the time.

I waited over 7 months from order to delivery. The market has only gotten worse since then so I'm glad I stuck it out. My truck has exceeded my expectations and I absolutely love driving it. Very worth it.

I was hoping since I have a "basic" build compared to y'all that it would be a "quick" thing, but not sure now.

Oh well, if I need to get a 22 I guess I will just change color to Atlas Blue. I'm excited for the truck as it is the first personalized build I've done.

The American auto manufacturers have lost 210 billion dollars in sales this year. It's not like they don't want to build vehicles.

I've needed a part for one of my Yamaha outboard motors since June. No idea it will be shipped or arrive. I've had the boat winterized and it'll be buried in rack storage soon. Hoping it will arrive when I'm able to float the boat in the spring. No point in having a hissy fit about it.

I just drove by this one at a dealer near me on their lot. Velocity blue supercrew with 5.0. Not sure about other options.

6 months and no VIN!? Feeling for you. Your case is certainly an outlier in terms of VIN assignment. Makes me wonder if the order got lost in the process. On the other hand, 6 months before production date (with a VIN assigned) certainly isn't rare.

ya super frustrating for sure. Dealer is no help. Ford no help. Whatever I guess I’m in no hurry and got a super deal so can’t bitch too much lol.

Geez, I am patient but I wouldn't wait 6 months for a VIN assignment, I would find another dealer with actual allocation and have them place the order. I ordered in March, got the VIN in less than a week, and had my truck in May. 5 weeks from order to delivery, and I had some of the options that at the time were shown to cause delays, like spray in bed liner and wheel well liners and all that good stuff.

Ha...I'm complaining over a few days, but it's more about not knowing if I'm going to have to go through the process again of ordering.
