I am thinking about taking the plunge going from my recon grapplers to the MT trail grapplers same 35×12,5x17. Biggest concern is going from 63 lb to 78lb. Thoughts or Advice ? Anyone with regrets ? Thanks fellas.

I put these on a couple months ago (285/75/18) and I'm really like them. It's a new tire for Toyo. I've had great luck with Toyo tires. I guess they figured they better get into the hybrid market. It looks and is pretty aggressive. I had some issues with ridge grapplers not holding up in sharp rock. https://www.toyotires.com/product/open-country-rt-trail/

I have 35" Venom Terra Hunter RT tires and other than them being damn heavy to swap, no regrets.

18's here with a 285/75/18 (pretty much a skinny 35) and have the Powerboost. I was concerned on adding weight at each corner going from the 17 to the 18 at 35" but I didn't notice any performance or MPG loss at all. I drive pretty conservative and live in a relatively flat area and my weight per corner is about 100lbs.

What you might feel is a slightly less responsive tire in everyday driving with the larger sidewall, but I'd bet looks and air-down / offroad performance would outweight the minimal changes you'd feel or notice daily driving all day long.

Please update when you can, I'm curious about going back to a 17 but with a 35x11.5/17 tire. I like the beefy tire look for sure!
