Alright, it's that time of year where I get asked what I want for thanksgiving and for the last several years I've said turducken. But I haven't had any luck.

I don't know why this catches my attention but I just want to try one!

So this year I'm going to take matters into my own hands and try and find one shipped to me. There are several companies that will ship (for a price).

They seem to be mostly down south.

Any Louisiana forum members or anyone from down south or at the very least have tried turducken give me a recommendation of what tastes good?

Or is the entire thing hideous and I should forget it all together?

Unsatisfied taste buds in Illinois.

I've always ordered from Hebert's
I perused their site. Going to have to earmark it for next thanksgiving. The stuffed mushrooms sound good but I couldn't bring myself to do it for 10 of them after shipping and dry ice. Turkey yes. Mushrooms no.

I've only heard of it because of John Madden and assumed it was a kind of a goof, but I know it's popular enough that a lot of people must be doing it. Personally I'm not really a fan of duck. Can you put a tri tip inside a turkey? I might be into that.

To bring it back to the forum - I like mine roasted in an electric roasting pan plugged into my Powerboost!
