I initially ordered my F150 Tremor on June 19th 2021. Due to the chip shortage, my order was never assigned a VIN and my dealer re-entered it as a MY22 order.

When my order was delivered on Jan 17th 2022, the dealer said there's nothing showing in their system that the vehicle is price protected. They offered to sell me the vehicle with MY22 MSRP and pay back me the difference if they could confirm with Ford about the price protection. Then the dealership called me today telling that they couldn't get Ford to honor the MY21 price so they can't pay me back.

Did anyone else face the same problem? I know there are a lot people on this forum who have orders rolled over from 21 to 22. But I just assumed it will be price protected, not to mention the PCOs Ford is offering to other F150 models.

How can I get my money back?

That stinks the dealership didn't want to work with you. At least you have a nice '22 Tremor and not a '21. Your '21 would be considered a year old if you sold it today.

Isn't MSRP a good deal these days? I mean especially here in CA :/

My dealer is going to so some in house things to make up a portion of the increase from my 21 order to my 22. If you're dealer is good, they have things they can do without giving you cash back.

What made you think you were price protected?
When I had the MY22 order re-entered, the sales person was pretty sure it was price protected and told me I'd pay the same MSRP as the MY21.

Ford is offering $3500 + 0 for 72 PCOs for other F150 models that were rolled over, I know that Tremor is special, I don't see why it wouldn't offer price protection for the long wait we have to go through.

Are you also experience the same situation? paying MY22 MSRP after rolling over?

They said they spent hours on the phone with Ford since there are multiple customers in the similar situation. I am not sure if I belive in them. But it is what it is, I don't think they have true motivation/incentive doing this for me.

I am not saying it's a bad deal because buying a new car with MSRP is indeed hard these days, since the dealer is selling almost everything with a markup. Maybe it's just that my expectation was a bit too high after the 7 month wait.

Just curious… was your final MSRP for your ‘22 truck the price before or after the increase took effect on 12/26? Just making sure you didn’t get even more taken by Ford/dealer as your conversion took place before the $880 increase.

I don't think I got more taken by them. Does that put me on the lucky side? lol

There have been a few threads of unexpected pricing based on the $880 increase at delivery so I’m glad that didn’t happen. Cone Feb 15, there is another $1500 increase folks will have to navigate - be educated - about.

Jeez, the price just keeps going up. Wish Ford's stock goes up like that too :ROFLMAO:
