Warranty on 2021

Just trying to get some thoughts on a extended warranty for a 2021 PB. My factory warranty expires in June, any insight would be appreciated, thx

My factory warranty expires in June ...

First, carefully read your entire warranty booklet (download from owner website if needed) to understand that much of your warranty extends beyond 36mo/36k miles.

Second, consider carefully how long you realistically expect to own your PB.

Third, be aware that no 'extended warranty' will cover everything that's covered in your original 36/36 B-to-B warranty.

IF you think you want an 'extended warranty' (ESP) I suggest the best value and easiest to use when needed is the Genuine Ford PremiumCare Plan with coverage for the miles / months you expect to own the truck. Remember miles and time always start at 0 miles and the date the truck was first put in-service.

That PremuimCare Plan has the fewest exclusions and any Ford dealer is equipped to administer claims in the most seamless manner possible.

I would never advise anyone to consider any 3rd-party 'extended warranty' on a Ford vehicle.

Yes, a Ford ESP does require work be done at a Ford Dealer (with reimbursement for work done at other facilities only in an emergency situation when a Ford Dealer is not available - see the attached contract for details).

Attached FYI is a copy of my Genuine Ford ESP contract, read it carefully to understand what is and is not covered. For very competitive cost info for various plan durations, coverage options, and deductibles, see Granger Ford's ESP website.

ESP's aren't for everyone. If you're the sort who will be pissed about spending the money for one when you've eventually sold your truck having never made a claim, it's not for you.

I have a 21 Platty EB , and I’m getting the extended warranty for an additional 5 years. You have to look at the EXT Warranty as an insurance policy.
if you decide to get it, do it before the 3 year 36 month expires. The warranty gets more expensive after the original warranty expires.

I bought a 10 yr/150000 bumper to bumper when I purchased it used in January 2022 with 7000 miles on it already. $2800 from the dealer. Not a Ford warranty. Hoping it was worth it and covers everything that goes wrong.

Spent 2 weeks waiting wiring harness, 2 weeks for axel stuff. I merely purchased to have a similar car replacement and roadside assistance stuffs and kind of an insurance in case of catastrophic issues of electrical systems - my truck had all the gimmicks.
