I’m still breaking in my truck before towing my RV, but I’m super curious to see what the side mirror camera views look like while towing a RV. Specifically without the tow mirrors.
does anyone have any footage of this? Or know of a video with this?
thanks!

I don’t have a video, but I can tell you that the side mirror showing a rear view towards the trailer only occurs whenever you put on a turn signal. And it only shows the side of the vehicle which corresponds with the side of the turn signal you’re turning on. This is on a 25 power boost F150.

I would like to oblige, and I agree it would be cool, but doing so would be a bit dangerous. I do not have a partner to record it.

Yeah I’ve seen that option in the settings. So that’s nice.
but also when you are driving down the road, you can just turn both those cameras on. So I would love to see what that looks like.

Just curious, do you have standard or 'tow' mirrors?

Without.
im coming from a 2023 GMC canyon where i was towing with just some tow mirror extensions.
just curious to see how the camera view will assist.

I am not sure what you are waiting for our rv season is like 3 weeks long … lol

I have tow mirrors but you get a great shot of the lane you are trying to turn into. It was great I am in BC right now with the trailer and when you coming to the end of a passing lane and wanting to move back you got a clear shot of dumbasses trying to sneak past you in the last 20 meters.

but i am not sure it matters as the camera on the tow mirrors is right next to the cab… but get out there and start towing, I have towed with a 100 kms on the truck

enjoy the new ride!

Thanks for the info!
I will not be towing before 1600Kms, as that’s what the manual states. I’m planning on keeping the truck “forever” so I want to baby it and follow the manual. Definitely trying to avoid excess wear on the driveline components trying to break in.
We don’t have any camping trips booked for a couple weeks, so it’s not an issue.

Not really. But the camera just comes on when the turn signals are on and that is usually a delicate time to be driving.

Camera comes on whenever you want it to come on! You can just click the camera button in my truck and the side view cams will turn on and stay on until you cancel it.
That’s probably how I’ll be driving my RV setup
