Hey all
I am wanting to drop my 2021 F150 Super Crew. I am thinking a 4/6 drop by IHC. Problem is every time I see one it says for Non-VDS. Trying to figure out if I have it or not. I’ve read it’s a digit in the VIN. I can’t find that. I pulled out my paperwork owners manual still can’t find out if I do or don’t have it. The other suspension thing I see coming up is CCD can’t find anything in that either.
My father in law just got his 2019 single cab dropped with a 3/5 drop. It had a good look but his bed was full from moving so it will lift back up a couple inches. He said he bottomed out several times in the 700 mile drive and they are going to put helper bags on it. I want my wheel wells filled in more than his are but I still want to maintain my ride.
Deciding on whether I should do this myself in my garage or send it to a shop or not.
so my questions would be
how do I find out as out VDS & CCD?
Should I do the job myself?
Any issues people have experienced with this combination I’m looking at
Is IHC the way to go or another brand
What price range should I be looking at ?
I live on military pension, so I have to budget and every penny counts
