Idk why this much effort needs to go into the mysteries of Fords charging and battery management systems. It’s a critical part/point of failure that is failing. Not sure why I’m paying for that.

Update for everyone: The dealer took the truck in overnight. Truck battery was at 22% with low volts. No additional drain overnight. They checked all charging systems etc... said there were no issues. Replaced the battery and sent me on my way (again, they did the same about a year ago)

My guess is that you’ve been handed bad batteries. I went through the same thing and finally replaced it myself with an Autozone Platinum H7. No issues since then.

Hopefully this one here doesnt have the same issue as the old one. If it still does, I might be following your lead and buying one myself...

If I'm not careful with the fob, my truck will go into "remote features disabled", on a daily basis. Just a few unnecessary wake ups trigger it. If I don't wake it up, it lasts for a week or more.

After 3 warnings, I was told by the Ford dealer. That the battery is OK, and no codes in the computer. I will not take a chance and replace it Thursday. Only after 42 months, I guess it’s time to replace it.

Upgrade to a H7 or H8 change SOC to 95% problem solved. If around $300 out of pocket to fix the issue then that’s on you. I had same issue did battery on my own no more issues. Lots of issues on batteries on here. Ford batteries suck. I went interstate H7. H6 is too small for amount of drain on them.

I have an appointment Thursday at the Ford dealer, to replace the battery. The original battery only lasted 41 months.

Keep in mind, these factory installed batteries are the cheapest that MEET the specs, they don’t exceed it. Factory batteries are rarely of high quality.

These newer Ford vehicles seem to be very battery sensitive. Not long after we purchased my wife's 2020 explorer (maybe 1 year), the start stop stopped working (engine running due to charging). Soon the front windows started having issues with the bump back feature and issues with getting the hatch to close. Similar to many of you, the battery would not hold a charge above 12 and we kept getting the "going to sleep" messages, even after just getting back from a long drive.

Finally, after 3 years of trickle charging and fighting it, I put in a diehard (my go to). Never had a slow start issue, like way back when, that would tell you to change the battery.
Immediately, all of the issues disappeared. It has almost been a year since. We will see when things go south again.

I have not seen any issues with my truck, yet, but I now know what to look for. As soon as a "gremlin" shows up, just yank the battery.

(The 2020 explorer has a lot of the same tech that our trucks have along with a similar AGM battery and BMS, in case anyone was wondering on the relevance)
