Does adding the trailer tow package take of the technology tow package on a platinum 701A truck?

Yes, you can choose one or the other. But, if you are choosing the 701A package, there is (to my knowledge and based on my research) absolutely no reason to pay the additional money for the Trailer Tow Package. Unless TTP includes something unpublished by Ford (and we know the Max Tow has unpublished items: Brakes, Axle, Leaf Spring), you get 100% of the items on the TTP by choosing 701A w/Trailer Tech.
