Tow mirror swap during winter months back to OEM

Anyone swap their tow mirrors back to stock for winter months?

I was thinking about doing it just so I can have the auto dimming feature of my stock mirrors back for the winter. I mainly tow during spring and summer months with my boat.

Boost auto mirrors do not have a auto dimming feature

I've done it a few times with my old truck and the new one. Over a full tank at highway speed (65+) the tow mirrors knock about 1mpg out of the fuel economy. Probably not that much or any at all at lower speeds. A lot of drag comes from having those two cereal boxes stuck out there.
