It Hello everyone
I will start with a little background, I am a paraplegic. Currently in drive an 2018 F-150 Limited with a seat that swings out and lowers me down to wheelchair height. A small crane is mounted in the box to pick up the wheelchair and place it in the box. A topper is mounted to a large piano hinge on top of the bed rail on the passenger side.
I qualified for a new set up through a grant, bids were received and a company wasn’t awarded the job. I recently purchased a 2024 F-150 Platinum Plus with the pro style tailgate. The company now wants to reuse my topper from the 2018 and mount it to the 2024. I have checked with vendors and they tell me it will not work but nobody can tell me why. As I research it I find conflicting information, from it will fit to it will not fit.
The company doing the work to my truck says they think they can make it work.
I spent a lot of money to get the PLatinum Plus and I don’t want to half a$$ anything on it. Have any of you attempted to put an gen 13 top on a gen 14?
