2025 F150 XLT
Just posting a quick build thread for my 2025 XLT that I purchased in late August. Not much of a build, per se, but just making a few changes along the way.

This is my second F150, previously owning a 2013.

I went with a Carbonized Grey 302A XLT with the 3.5 Eco and 3.55 gears.

I'll post pics along the way but here are a few pics of the truck stock.

First thing I had done was full front end XPEL ppf and 35% tint on the front windows. I then bought a tri fold tonneau

With the help of forum member Rozzly, I added hill descent and the proper button. I also added all the FX4 skid plates and a raptor skid plate as well.

Removed the dealer installed Gatorback mudflaps and installed the "drill free" Gatorback flaps with black metal plates.

I also installed Ford rear wheel liners as I didn't like the way the Husky liners were fitting.

Had a spray in bedliner installed at a local shop. They did a phenomenal job and were significantly cheaper than line-x.

With the help of TheDudeee and BlownF150's mongoose cable, I installed a heated wheel. Definitely nice to have for the winter.

I used an infotainment.com harness and oem rain sensor and installed rain sensing wipers. I then added a Bob's mirrors Homelink mirror as I found it weird that this truck didn't come with a built in opener.

Installed the driver's side keypad as that was something my 2013 had and I found it strange that this truck didn't have one.

And the biggest change to date, swapped the rear bumper and exhaust system to a tremor bumper and hitch with a takeoff exhaust from a 2025 BAP XLT.

Love the look and I noticed on cold start that it sounds pretty good, for a 3.5 that is 😀

And just a few pics of future mods.

Picked up a work surface armrest, purchased the infotainment.com wireless charger, Katzkin factory style leather and a Kicker Key amp.

I also have a Bilstien 6112/5160 level kit ready to go and a set of OEM BAP/lariat 20 inch wheels. I just have to decide what rubber to go with and seeing as it's getting in to winter, I'll be swapping on my winter wheels and tires soon anyway.

Love your documentation of the things you’re doing to your truck. I have a 2024 F150 Lariat FX4 3.5 twin turbo hybrid with the console find-down workspace, the oem skid plates, heated steering wheel, drivers side keypad, spray-in bed liner, and a BakFlip tonneau cover. I LOVE MY TRUCK. Do you have, or going to get, the collapsible and lockable storage under the rear seat… I’ve enjoyed having that. And one of the things I REALLY LIKE that I didn’t think I’d like is the tailgate with the mid swing-out door… I use it 9 out of 10 times when I’m accessing the bed.

Installed the infotainment.com wireless charging pad today. Super easy and straightforward. Just a slightly different pin location for the harness compared to their instructions.

One thing that I’ll be doing next year is to raise the frontend to be closer in height to the rear. I haven’t decided how I want to do it yet, and whether it’ll be something only on the front, or if it’ll involve both front and back. I’m not really interested in raising it higher than what the back already is… but do want to correct most of the rake, while at the same time not causing the rear to be significantly lower than the front if I’m hauling or towing something (which is rare where it lowers the rear much)

I do not have the collapsible storage under the rear seat.

I may do my Bilstien level kit tomorrow if the weather is good. Otherwise, might wait until a warmer day.

Thinking I might do Mickey Thompson Baja Boss tires in 275/60R20 as they have them in SL, 48 lbs each and the overall height is 33.5 inches. I've heard great things about them.

Your truck looks great!

The Bilstein install isn't bad other than getting the studs out of the LCA. If you can hammer them out or just cut them off using a sawzall (what I did) install only took about 40 minutes a side.
