Thought it might be interesting, to kick it off, this the laptop / desktop setup that serves me well ....
The laptop has 64GB RAM and 2 x 1TB Samsung NVMe SSD's installed.
On the desktop the 15"-screen laptop is connected by a single Thunderbolt cable to a Dell WD22TB4 dock, which in turn supports the following peripherals:
FORScan runs great on this machine, I prefer using the wired USB OBDLink EX rather than my BT OBDLink MX+ for programming the truck.
Prior to purchasing the Dell 5550 last January I had been using a Dell Latitude E6530 refurb I bought way back in 2014 which served me well for 10+ years and up through Win 10, driving all of the peripherals listed above through its own dock. But it wouldn't support Win 11, thus upgrade was necessary for assured continued security update support. That machine is now rolled-back to Win 7 and used for some very old software that I still find useful, and which is happiest in that environment.
All of my Dell stuff is refurbished equipment purchased from Dell Outlet over the years. Only one problem with their refurb equipment, a monitor that went south soon after purchase and was promptly replaced under warranty at no cost to me including return shipping. Yeah, I'm a fan of Dell Outlet factory refurbished equipment.
I tried a MacBook Pro 14" M1 before getting the 5550, but I'm a life-long Windows guy from a career in civil engineering, gave the Mac an honest and intensive try for several months but didn't find the environment to my liking, so abandoned that venture. No harm / no foul, YMMV, no worries!

Just for grins, share your computing setup. Windows, Mac, Linux / Unix, whatever ... tell us what works for you!
