Does anyone know if there's a way, Forscan or otherwise, to speed up the deployment of the running boards? When I open the door, I'm often placing my foot on a still moving running board as it deploys. I could sit and wait, but it seems ridiculous. cheers and thanks

Looks like you are in Calgary .. i have had running boards that are autofolding for 7 years on last truck and this 21' truck . The old one was slow in cold weather here in Albany . Periodically sprayed hinges with lubricant spray at the hinges which helped . My 21 has been fast enough this winter but we are not as cold here as i think Calgary is ..

Thanks for the reply - I'll spray the hinges and we'll see if it helps. Cheers

Ive used white lithium sparay usually. Always keep a tiny can wd40 in truck . As my last truck got older they tended to stick in cold weather w precipitation. Honestly i had wished for fixed boards or steps but wanted platinum PB so had no choice but i learned from my old one to spray hinges once a quarter in the last 3 years of my 2015 truck and didnt have issues

Right on, I'll pick up some white lithium spray. I might spray my tailgate hinge on the same schedule, she's a little squeaky already

This is the exact reason I did not get the factory power deployable boards. Friend of mine has a 2018 and whenever I ride in that truck, I find myself waiting to step in. I don't consider myself to be an impatient person, but I definitely have better things to do than wait for those things to extend!

the getting part is easy, because they auto-deploy when approaching (great feature). It's just if you park, turn it off and open the door in a rush, you can beat the running board by half a second.
