Solid state batteries are the latest innovations coming along. These contain solid lithium and other materials. They will be smaller and lighter than the current liquid Li-ion batteries. This will allow for much greater power in EV trucks. Solid Power Systems is a company I am following that is working with Ford. Check it out at www.solidpowerbattery.com
They aren't the only ones. Unfortunately the new battery won't be available until probably 2024. Personally I can wait.
