Snow Plow Package Delay

Does anybody know why the snow plow package is causing build delays? My dealer says Ford just says there's a "problem" with the package and they haven't even started the build yet. I ordered in March assuming I'd have the truck for winter 2021-22 but perhaps Ford missed the point that we have snow in the Colorado mountains EVERY year? I knew about the chip issue at time of order but this seems ridiculous.

There's more shortages than just chips. Could be a supplier issue, I seriously doubt Ford is producing the plow themselves. Try to buy a truck camper, they are months behind too. For anyone blaming Ford, they want to sell the trucks. They don't want the shortages and issues.

Yes, Ford isn’t supplying the plow or frame assembly, just the pre wiring and a larger alternator. Even with all the supply chain issues this year I have a hard time believing Ford couldn’t do this in over 7 months now. Had i ordered one of their EV trucks (bad idea for us rural folks) I think they’d have tripped over themselves to get my build completed. I dropped this option from the order a month ago and still zero effort from Ford to get this build scheduled.
