Ok this has now happened twice in the last few days. I’ll have to monitor and see if I can get a video. First time I thought maybe I screwed up but now again I’m pretty sure something might be malfunctioning.
I back into my garage. When I stop in front of my house I very slowly stop, click to neutral, then click to reverse, otherwise I’ll often get a shudder and a rapid warning chime. Posted about this one elsewhere. But when I’m slow it seems to be fine.
Twice now I’m nearly certain I’ve stopped, clicked once to neutral, then clicked again for reverse, but the truck has stayed in neutral. So I move it again to reverse and it seems to be ok.
Is this even possible? If I feel 2 clicks on the detent it can still remain in neutral?
Anyone else with this problem? I know there was a TSB for a stuck shifter within the last year but I’ve never heard of moving the lever but the gear selection doesn’t actually change.
Will take some videos next time I’m parking and see if it happens again.
