Hi All,
I'm working on a little project with another member over on the ford-trucks forum where we're trying to install and program a ML3Z-19980-K module into our Platinum Super Duties and have it operate like it does in the F-150. This is the version of the module that has buttons for the heated steering wheel, heated seats, ventilated seats, and LCD temperature readouts on the knobs.
If we use our Super Duty as-built values, the module doesn't operate correctly. However, if we plug in F-150 values, on the surface, the module seems to work. However, the as-builts HEX values are completely different, which causes the plain English values to be all over the place, so we have no way of knowing if all the settings are completely correct for things that are hard to test (such as the Rapid Heat supplemental cab heater).
I'd like to try and cross-reference my plain English (non-as-built) values to the HEX data on an F-150. If someone is willing to do this, it would require backing up your as-builts, changing your plain English HVAC values to match mine (attached here), writing the data, then exporting the HEX values to me (screenshot is fine), then writing your module back to your F-150's backed-up as-built values.
Feel free to PM me if you're willing to undertake this. Thanks in advance!
