I had my windshield replaced after some hail damage over the summer. After I picked the truck up I drove through a decent storm and noticed the rain sensing wipers didn’t work. I got home and popped the cover off the sensor housings and saw only one side of the sensor was clipped in - easy fix, or so I thought. Put it all back together and fast forwarded to today, the first time I’ve driven in rain since that day.
The auto wipers still aren’t working. I took it apart again, cleaned and inspected the sensor, checked it was actually plugged in, and cleaned the glass it contacts on the inside. Another test drive in the rain and still nothing. Toggling the option in Sync reverts the wipers to a standard interval behavior based on stalk position, and I’m not getting any DTCs for the sensor.
Any ideas for further troubleshooting before chalking it up to the sensor somehow having been damaged by the glass tech?
