I am planning on putting 35”x12.5” on my ‘21 F150 XLT powerboost and I am debating whether to go with the BDS 2” coil over or the 4” coil over. My goal is to increase my off road capabilities without sacrificing on road manners. I also have my wife sold on leveling it but may have some work to do convincing her a lift is a good idea. It seems like there are quite a few 4” options that can range from pretty decent price to quite expensive with all the bells and whistles. I am also considering the Cognito 2.5” but that seems to be pretty spendy with the king shocks. I am looking for experience with these lifts, how they ride, perform off road, what I might be sacrificing only going 2” or 2.5” vs 4” and vice versa. Thanks in advance for the help!

It's always a compromise... always.
'How often are you off-road versus on?
when off-road, how serious? Deep rutted tracks and rocky humps will need maximum articulation and higher sidewalls to grip better and not pop off the rim when aired down. 33 inch May look a bit silly, but will maximise available suspension travel.
'Will you run A/Ts or M/Ts?

All the above will have a negative effect upon road manners.

I’ll be on road more often than off. It is my daily. I won’t be looking for the hairiest of situations but I do like to play around. I’m most likely going to go with the nitto ridge grappler so I’m going the hybrid route although the miles tar Patagonia is still on the list. I’m leaning towards the nitto for the on road manners. Thanks!
