I have a block heater plug that came on the truck. 2023 3.5L. Looking to buy an EZ Flate CASE compressor. It comes with alligator clamps for power. 12v, 90A draw. Would it be possible to replace the clips with a female 3-prong and power the compressor through the block heater plug?

I think that would not be a good idea for many reasons one being that plug is not connected to the 12v DC battery that the compressor needs. Another issue would be the wire size it uses even if it was connected to a 12v power source. I would be concerned about an electrical fire.

Absolutely not.

The block heater is just a high-resistance short-circuit heater, which requires you to plug in an external 120v AC power from your house (or other utility power).
The block heater cord is only good for maybe 15a max.

You'll want at least a cable with 4AWG wire, and you'll need an equally capable connector. I would highly recommend a fuse, circuit breaker, and possibly a disconnect switch also to be in the circuit. Automotive or Marine parts shops should have the types of parts you need.

But if you are not electrically savvy. Put down the tools, step away, and seek some professional help. You don't want to F this up...

Oh duh...No wonder I couldn't find anything about fusing or wiring diagrams...it's not connected to the battery! I have never used the block heater clearly.

I have electrician buddies. Seems like more of a hassle than just popping the hood.

Good advice and pretty clearly applicable to the OP, IMO.
