Powerboost Jumps When Going from EV to ICE

I have a 2021 F150 Platinum Powerboost with about 11K miles and it just recently started jumping when going from EV to ICE. Since EV generally operates at speeds <50mph, it's noticeable at lower gears. It doesn't happen when going from ICE to EV. It's not an issue with the transmission shifting since it happens while in the same gear. It has something to do with the engine starting up.

Has anyone else experienced this and do you know what the fix was?

I have too, experienced this. The answer I got from the dealership was that if the engine is really under load (going up a hill) at a low gear you might experience a jump. I have 23k on mine, I notice it every now and then, but nothing really jarring.

This happens when accelerating from a stop sign/red light, driving through a flat neighborhood, etc. So not really putting it under load. Before this started happing, there was a slight jump/lurch when going from EV to ICE but it is was somewhat smooth. Now, it pops/jolts into ICE.

Seems like it’s been more pronounced since one of the last OTAs that helped with fuel economy. I’ve said its like a 15 yo learning to drive a manual

An update on this:
I took my truck into the local dealership and they confirmed what was happening was not normal. They put in a call to Ford to get their recommended fix. After not hearing from Ford for several days, the dealership decided to reset the transmission's "memory" to see if that would resolve it. Lo and behold, it did fix it! They recommended driving it for about 800 miles for it to relearn my driving habits. I haven't gotten to the 800 mile mark yet but it's driving like it was originally. Hope that helps anyone experiencing a similar issue.
