Has anyone figured out the stock pinion angle before doing a suspension lift front and rear? My goal is to remove the factory 1" rear block and swap in a 3" block. The only ones I have been able to locate are a 3" block that has bump stops added but no tapering, or a tapered 2 5/8 × 2 3/4 which would require fabricating a way to lengthen my bump stops.
I don't want to create any issues with the u-joint or pinion seal.

The pinion needs to be 1 degree lower than the engine. The engine on the 5.0 RCSB trucks are roughly 4.7 degrees down, yours is probably similar. That means the front of the pinion needs to be about 3.5 degrees up. You can measure the front of the engine on the harmonic balancer and the pinion angle on the flat spot of the differential cover.
This is a lowered truck of another members, but you would measure the same for yours if you lift it.
