Hi All - long time reader, first time caller. Love all the info here.
I ordered my new F150 before the price increase the first week of February. Right on schedule I got a $2,500 PCO in the mail just a few weeks later. Awesome but I figure there is no way the truck will make it before it expires (7/5). Well, The truck shipped first week of June, got held up but is now making good progress again. I called Ford this morning and it's located 10 miles from me and waiting to be delivered to the dealership. Sweet - but the problem is the ETA is now 7/7.
So, I'm losing my mind a bit on the fact it will feel slimy I won't get my $2,500. Almost cruel. The dealership is telling me "sorry pal" and I can guarantee hoping I just cancel my order (I'm XPlan and they have 3 whole trucks on the lot. They'd love to sell mine over MSRP).
I've read that somehow folks have had luck getting Ford to mail the rebate for the PCO directly to them in situations like this before when the shipping delays were the problem, but I don't know how that is done (or maybe it isn't).
Has anyone ever been successful in this? Missing the cutoff by 48 hours due to constant delays on their part seems a bit bait-and-switchy. Thanks for any advice you might have.
