OTA Updates Keep Failing

Has anyone had this issue? FordPass has notified me 3 times in the last month that my update keeps failing.

the cell service is so so at my house - maybe 2 bars of 5Ge on ATT. I have my truck connected to my wifi which has 3 bars. Still - would have thought that was enough. Have another wifi Extender coming to add to my mesh network to strengthen it and see if it helps?

My start/lock/unlock works about 50% of the time at my house as well.

anyone had similar issues?

I have received ota's without wifi connection. I still don't have my truck connected to wifi with no reason to.

If your start/unlock is only working 50% of the time then something is definitely spotty with your connection. I don’t have much in the way of AT&T coverage at my house but do have it on my WiFi as well.
Any way you can park closer to your house or wherever your WiFi is to try snd do the update? Maybe park right by the front door or something if possible for a bit to try and get the update to download?

I actually installed a new extender in my garage earlier today so I need to check my wifi signal now. I had 3 bars before so if it’s 5 I’m gonna let it ride and see if they install properly. The problem is I have no way of manually installing them - they just run on a schedule I guess but i don’t get notifications that they failed until days later….

Oh for some reason I thought you could go through the settings in there and get it to do it manually, maybe not. Mine has always just said you’re up to date when I do it so I’ve never actually seen what it says when something is available.

Yeah that’s the same thing I have - Ford pass is just notifying me of the update and if it’s failing. It’s not the best system

Have you tried from the truck’s screen though? There’s a place in the sync menus that shows it to you as well. Very well mag behave exactly the same though.
