I went into my local dealer 5/29 to order a truck. They were super friendly, made the process very easy, but when it came time to put down the deposit, their accounting closed for the day. The salesman said he would call me Tuesday (Monday was Memorial Day) to get the deposit.
I noticed that he had the incorrect wheelbase Sunday, so Tuesday I called to change it. He said it would take up to a week to modify and that he would call me Friday, 6/4, to confirm the updated order was correct and take the deposit.
No call. I called, and he texted me back saying he would send the order update Saturday. Nothing got sent.
Is there something I am missing? I am leaving him alone for a week to see what happens, it just seems odd to drag this out when they were so willing to put the order in.
