Just pick up this beauty at Granger. Really great experience working with sales and finance at Granger Motors. Interesting discussion about the title vs getting the original certificate of origin since I paid cash for the truck (my cash that I saved and worked for). In the end, RMV (registry of motor vehicles) in MA was a breeze as I was well prepared to register, title, and pay sales tax in MA with the help of Granger folks. I did visit Granger a couple of weeks prior to taking possession for and inspection. For a piece of mind I highly recommend doing so vs paying sight unseen. No issues with the Granger QC, just felt much better knowing what I'm paying for. Drove the truck back to Boston area myself and very much enjoyed the trip over several days. I was slow and varied during the first 500 miles, had the oil changed and collected a sample for analysis. Then moved on with steady driving and at highway speeds. I liked the blue-cruise in general but found the truck to use all of the space between the lane markers, felt like I was swaying too much between the lane markings for my comfort. I think it will be worth getting vanity plates and ceramic coating - its a really sharp looking truck. It's also my first F-150. I drove a Lincoln Nautilus for a couple of years and wanted the space and utility of a truck with the connectivity and comfort of a Lincoln. I feel the 703A package is pretty close. The pro-access tailgate came in handy for stowing and grabbing a few items, thanks to the Ford engineers/designers for this capability. I need to read up on how to control the interior lighting as there seems to be many options. I now have some 2K+ miles on the truck and thus far very happy with the purchase. The color of darkened bronze and chrome are a reasonable match. The on-board power will allow to reach isolated places in Maine and upper peninsula of Michigan in style and comfort. My intention for this vehicle is comfort and convenience during long-haul trips. Maybe a little bit of towing of ~8K lbs trailers, but mostly some commute into Boston and drive out for long weekends with my dogs. Will get a hammock for the back to protect the interior from dogs as they are of hunting stock. Agree the price tag of the 703A package is steep (could have purchased and Audi Q8) but the ride and creature comforts pushed me towards spending the cash. I do expect longevity of this truck as I baby it with recommended maintenance schedules and low stress driving habits. Lastly, thanks to all the comments and opinions on this channel. I ordered the truck in Feb '24 and got the notice of arrival in Iowa mid October.

Congrats.

Certificates of origin have nothing to do with road vehicles. They are primary for ORVs in states that don't title ORVs.

Why two separate trips? I mean, you aren’t paying for the truck sight unseen if you are paying cash. If you don’t like the truck when you head out to pick it up, don’t buy it. Your deposit is lost either way (whether you make one trip or two).

Congrats.

MA RMV rules are quite specific. To save time and repeat trips to the RMV their recommendations were to follow what is stated on the portal. For new vehicles purchased out of state the requirements are very clear:

https://www.mass.gov/how-to/apply-for-a-registration-and-title-for-a-vehicle-purchased-from-a-dealer

Thanks for the info on ORVs.

I've purchased over 20 brand new cars/trucks in my life, and have never seen or been provided with a C of O for any of them. Interesting.
