Then you probably need to program the ddm and pdm set it to 01 on each door

Hey Jesse I just installed my tow mirrors today. I’m gonna do this in forscan tomorrow but is there something else I need to do whenever I put it reverse it says reverse brake assist not available. Thanks for the help

You’ll probably notice the cameras are out of alignment, too. They need to be aligned and you can’t do that with forscan. Took my truck in for the AC not blowing cold, told them about the error and they aligned them. If you have a recall pending, when you take it in mention it. If you can’t take it in for a while, you can turn off the rear brake assist and the error will still show up, but it won’t alert. Good luck.

I figured as much. Blue cruise still works great so I’ll worry about the brake assist when I take it in for service. Thank you for the info. I’ll get the telescope and marker lights working tomorrow

Ford now offers OEM tow mirrors with power folding, power extending, heat, turn signal, 360 camera and BLIS on Lariat and higher trims.

Anyways i installed the mirrors on my Lariat and literally every function works except for the power extending..

Anybody dealt with this yet?? TIA!

According to everything i read/seen the upgrade is 100% plug and play!

Hey Gang,
I'm hoping some of you are still around for this thread.
I installed ML3Z17696DA on my '21 F-150 KR that had/has power fold mirrors. (Thanks Fairway Ford!)
Everything works fine EXCEPT:
- when I extend the mirrors I have to hold the extend button, they don't extend out all the way automatically. Same for retracting them.
- If I hold that extend button too long, the mirrors will stop responding to extend/retract button. Once I restart the truck they will respond again until I hold that button too long.
Anyone else experience this and have a fix
