Ill start off by saying that I don't even have my truck yet but I tend to OVER research...(or so I have been told) Lol Just wondering why there is no mention of them, from my reading it seems to be a pretty good set up with the sct's. Any thoughts or experience from anyone on here?

I used oz on my 2016 and loved it. Haven't really wanted to tinker with that type of stuff on my 2023 yet! I think 5.0 is probably the minority around here...

I have it on my 2021. The omega tune. Great Tune. My son also has it on his 2018 F150. Ran a 12.9 on E85, GT manifold and CAI.
I just bought the omega tune for my 2015 F150. Coming from MPT tune. But having trouble loading it. SCT problem. Somehow the reload back to stock and doing updates to the X4 botched up my programmer and now wont program any tunes. Been on with Support for 2 days now.

Thanks guys for the feedback. Seriously considering them when I get the truck. Curious to see how they support you with the SCT glitch....

I opted to go with Livernois on my '22 but wouldn't hesitate to go with OZ. Main reason was that on my last tuned truck, the SCT programmer always gave me issues. Livernois, having there own 'MyCalibrator ' was my reason.

Oz is currently tuning my truck. I am also not a fan of the SCT device. I knew I wanted Oz to tune my truck and at the time, it was the only way to tune my 22. If you can avoid the X4, I would do that.

just follow up on my above post. I called a live tech. They reformatted my X4 and reloaded the firmware. Was able to load my Oz tune but have not driven the truck yet. My daily is the 2021.

Yeah I saw people were having issues with the SCT too. I went with Livernois as well. Love it. Truck runs beautifully.

I used Oz for my procharged 13', and the 19' when they were using the Ngauge. I still have the damn thing and I don't remember if I unlocked it before selling the truck.

Do you have to switch between "fuel tunes" with Livernois? That was one of the selling points for OZ when I was researching.

I haven't had any issues with the SCT device and have been very happy with the OZ tune. He is now supporting the HP tuners device but that requires sending your PCM to HP tuners to have the encryption removed.

This is what it entails;

Thank you for your order!

Your tuner is ready to update using the Mycalibrator update software which can be downloaded from the following link if you haven't already done so on your current PC. If you have the app installed already, simply connect your tuner to the PC and open the app to begin the update process. I have set you up with the latest 87-93 E85 Flex fuel performance and towing / economy tunes for your vehicle which will now be stored on the tuner along with the copy of your stock tune that has been saved from the vehicle. The 5.0L trucks being E85 flex fuel capable will adjust for changes in ethanol to add even more power when used with E85. When switching between fuels with different ethanol content you'll also need to perform an ethanol relearning drive cycle by driving for 5-10 minutes part throttle (under 50%) without extended idling periods before doing any aggressive driving (see flex fuel drive cycle notes below for more details).

When finished updating you will be all set to connect the tuner to the vehicle's OBD port inside the truck to begin the programming steps. Once it gets to the point where it's ready to connect to the ECU with the LME adapter cable, be sure to turn OFF the ignition before disconnecting the cables from the ECU underhood. Then finish loading your new tune into the ECU by selecting Programming from the main menu and then the Performance cals sub-menu. Let us know if you have any issues or questions as well. Thank you very much for your business and we hope you have a great day!

Please follow the link below to install the Mycalibrator tuner update application if you have not already done so. Once installed open the new program labeled Mycalibrator, connect the tuner to the PC with the supplied USB cable, And select "Update" to complete the file transfer if it hasn't begun automatically once connected.

When you first flash most of the 2010 and newer vehicles they shift harder than normal. They have adaptive learning and will soften up, but still be firmer than stock as it learns how you drive.

Flex Fuel ethanol relearning drive cycle:
Perform a 5-10 minutes part throttle (below 50% without extended idle time) drive cycle before going heavy throttle if using any ethanol blend. I will say if you're consistently using gasoline, you would be fine, but transitioning to, from, or even when staying with ethanol blends you should do this drive cycle to allow it to learn the ethanol content.

So, basically

87-93 octane fuel in the last 2 tanks, and putting 87-93 in it again, no drive cycle needed

E85 in the tank, and putting in 87-93, drive cycle needed for at least 2 tank fulls to get all the ethanol out

87-93 in the tank and moving to E85, drive cycle needed

any mix of E85 in the tank adding E85 in, or 87-93 in requires the drive cycle.

Thank you
