I thought over inflated tires wore the middle out and under inflated tires wore the outside edges out.

yes fat finger in the morning. correct over wears out center and under will wear outer. under also causes feathering of center tread some what relative to pressure an dhow lightly the center is touching the road or not touching.

The tires the op was speaking of with the chopping were the rear tires.He didn’t say if it was both rear tires or not.There is no alignment for a solid axle rear wheel drive truck there is no adjustments.So if it is just one tire then should be a shock of it is both tires then they are crap tires.
