Anyone have credible insight into the latest order process? Several bulletin boards reflect what used to be the old method which would get you a VIN within a month or less.
I'm 7 weeks into ordering. Texting my sales rep. this morning asking for update on VIN got me the following:
"It shows as a scheduled clean order but no VIN yet" Not sure what that means. Ordering manager at dealership had told me directly when I stopped in a few weeks ago that the order was submitted but "not picked up yet."
I'm understanding that the chip issue is causing pain, but also thinking my sales guy just doesn't give a sh*t anymore. He got promoted to fleet sales. They also price matched a deal quoted from other side of country that is about $2,000 below MSRP.
Fortunately they did submit with priority 10. This is a volume dealership with multiple locations out West so maybe they have decent allocation?
Seeing movement in semiconductors starting to flow again, Bronco production, etc., seems the estimates, guesses, what we're used to, has changed up?
