There is an increase in road noise with the install of these, but what is nice is that they are easy to install and remove if it becomes a bother. Also, it's nice to be able to remove them to go through a car wash to avoid water coming in from the wash (I do use drive thru car washes. Drought restrictions make it hard to hand wash vehicles sometimes).I’m gonna guess that road noise increases a little bit, easily compensated for with some judicious volume control.
Two concerns I do have though, mostly related to backroad travel. 1). Do they rattle at all? 2). Dust infiltration?
I haven't noticed any rattles on my truck that I am aware of. As for dust, I don't do a lot of backroad travel so dust isn't an issue. As I said, if that's a concern, they can easily be removed temporarily and then installed again after you're done backroading.
As for the road noise, turn the volume up and enjoy the tunes!!!!
