Finally did some things to my f150! Yaaay!
This is my first f150. It is a beautiful 2024 f150 stx with the baby little 2.7
Ended up with this truck thanks to my parents(the people who bought it obviously :] ) not liking the used ones and my mother being big on safety, not wanting me to be driving around a 46 year old c10 all day.
Honestly ive been very happy to have it. 1000x more comfortable to drive than my c10 and.....faster.
But driving it for 6 months it started to get a little bland and after seeing the 3rd person in my small town to have the same damn truck as me I finally decided to be the special little guy I am and do some crap to it.
I did everything at once, im pretty fast at getting stuff done(thats what she said)
I started by adding in some step lights, a truck isn't complete without lights.
Then next I got a ranchand, it was the biggest thing I wanted for the truck. It adds a more aggressive look to the truck and also protection from deer.....and 3 ft tall poles at discount auto.
That was quite the fun process reaching into the frame trying to get individual bolts on.... not having realised until way to late the ranchand did in fact come with the bolts, and some carrier nuts. But they were separated so how was i supposed to know they were there?
Anyway, I managed to get it on by myself no problem. Then same day i added in some steps/running boards. Along with some chrome mirrors covers and handles. I am a MASSIVE fan of chrome.
Then we had this....
I still had to do some tint at this point. So the next day I went ahead and did it. I did legal limit cause why not and I dont want ppl seeing me in my truck. 25% front 5% back.
Did it myself. However the tint on the driver window bubbled off and over the next 2 days the rest came, guess im not a winter.
Luckily im going tomorrow to a local shop and they are going to redo it.
I've been contemplating what to do ride height wise, it's a 2wd, I learned the hard way 2wd go down 4wd go up but opperently that dosnt apply to new trucks.
I also (today) instead of fixing my c10 i installed my vta plug and played around with that. Now I have an allergenic f150.
I've got subs on the way, finally going to be getting a real neighborhood PA system.
Im thinking instead of lowering (expensive af) im just going to level it. Either buying some new chrome rims or buying some used black ones from a freind of mine who is going to get himself some..... "bane of my existence" wheeles.
Im also wanting to put some sort of exhaust valve. Im not a fan of fart cannons but sometimes I need that sound because there are people annoy and turbos to hear.
But for now that concludes what I have managed to screw up on this truck so far. Looking for more ways to screw this truck up. Open to ideas.
