1. Purchasing a Bumper with a Winch Plate
When buying our bumpers, we often receive inquiries about the compatibility of specific brands of winches. In addition to considering the dimensions of the winch plate, we also need to check if the winch's control box can be detached.

2. Control Box / Solenoid Box
We know winches typically have a control box, which acts as a relay to manage the high current needed to power the winch motor. Let's take a look at two images below: the control box of the Warn winch is non-detachable, while the control box in the other image is mounted with a bracket and can be removed.

Some bumpers are only compatible with winches that have a detachable control box, so you need to make it clear before purchasing.
In the future, all bumpers released by Hooke Road will have this information specially marked.

What information do you usually pay attention to when buying a bumper that the seller does not mark? Welcome to share!

I checked with a local body repair shop and was told that adding a winch could prevent the front collision sensors from activating the airbags. I decided not to alter my truck.

I have had winches on other vehicles but none had airbags. I also found that 100% of the time I was helping to recover the vehicle of some reckless fool(s).
