How to close small side screen on the 12” center screen

I’m not sure what I touched but I managed to close the small side screen so it was like a normal full size screen. Running Apple CarPlay in the full size was pretty awesome.

there was a button on the bottom of the screen to open the side screen again. I want to close the side screen again but I can’t figure it how to do it.

On CarPlay it is on the top left. Looks like double arrow.
