Help identifying a certain module

Hey everyone, looking for some help identifying a specific module. To make a long story short my truck is on chip hold and I got way to bored…… I took the as built data for mine and one that is very similar and compared them to determine what module/”chip” might be missing. Well based on my stupidly boring probably waste of time I determined its the module starting as 754-.. wondering if anyone maybe has information or knows where to locate information as to which module this is.

Thanks!! LooksLike that’s the module my truck is waiting on. Be curious if more vehicle on “chip hold” are missing that module.

That module is basically the modem.
It's critical for OTA updates.
I believe it sits behind the passenger side back seat. They should send you your truck and then let the dealership install the modem later. Especially since OTA is functioning at a tiny fraction of what it promises anyway.
Or put another way, not having the TCU in your truck wouldn't make much difference until Ford actually gets OTA working. Lol

Yeah, one would hope it was that simple but if it was my truck wouldn’t be sitting in Michigan while March builds ship lol. What can ya do though

The tcu is used for more than just the ota updates. Its how everything in the FordPass app connects to the truck. It’s also how the almost never used hotspot works. Plus it’s not easy to get the vin registered to it for stuff like hotspot if the dealer doesn’t know how to do that.
