Lasfit recently received feedback from a 2005 Buick Century owner who had some trouble installing our LCair9006 LED bulbs:

"…they technically fit this car connection-wise, but because of the large fan on the back of the bulb, it does not fit into the headlight casing… The bulb is so close to the edge of the opening, and the Lasfit bulb with the bulky fan just doesn’t fit..."

As you can see in the photo, the 2005 Buick Century has an off-centered headlight housing. This isn't an isolated case – certain models, like newer Chevrolet Silverados, 2014-2020 Toyota 4Runners, and 2018-2023 Ford F-150s with halogen headlight housings, also seem to have off-centered headlight assemblies.

This usually means you’ll need to choose LED bulbs with smaller fans or a fanless design to successfully replace your OEM halogen bulbs. However, picking bulbs with smaller or no fans can sometimes compromise heat dissipation. Poor heat dissipation can lead to overheating, which may reduce the lifespan of the bulbs or even cause them to fail entirely.

So, if you’ve encountered off-centered headlight housings, how did you solve it? Did you opt for smaller or fanless bulbs to make the installation easier? Or did you just skip the outer dust cover altogether?
