Found a small plastic part, can someone identify?

New to me ‘21 PB limited. Found this under the rear seat along with the cell phone holder. Luckily the cell phone holder had a number, this thing is just black. Can someone identify where it goes? Thanks!

It’s from a McGard tailgate lock. When installing you remove the tailgate from the bed on one side and slip that plastic cup thing over the round nub on the bed where the tailgate hinges.
