Hello all,

Has anyone got a 21/22 ford factory (accessories.com) drop in bedliner?
I've tried finding a review or video online & can't find anything.
Looking for feedback on it as I'm considering purchasing.
I need drop it not spray in.

Hows the fit, does it slide at all, do the locking tie downs help secure it.
Any plus or minuses you can think of?

Thanks

I sold ford and ford accesories for years, and I would advise against it!!

They get water in between the drop in and the bed and get musty and moldy.

They stink and are super cheap.

Get the spray in and thank me later!!!

As I mentioned I can't do spray in as corporate policy won't allow it (yes it's dumb)
Ford say they improved the air circulation & drainage which is supposed to alleviate the issues you mentioned
But who knows, either way I'm buying a drop in

I ordered the drop in on my 21 with an 8’ box
fits just fine and does not move around that I can tell.
the plug/covers over the small tie downs in the lower corners are pretty watertight as well. the front of my bed fills with water and will stay full until I drive the truck forward.
there are opening on the sides for the box link options and it will come with a tailgate cover if you have a standard gate.

Had one in my Ranger for 15 yrs, and when it was removed to remove the box for fuel pump access, there were two spots that had worn thru paint.
there were no plugs for the tie down anchors, so, squirrels had a field day with nut storage.
Before reinstalling everything, I washed out the bed and it cleaned right up with no evidence of corrosion anywhere.

I like the slide in because it makes it easy to slide stuff out easily, and to cut down on dents and scrapes.

had a bed mat in my 79 Chevy since new—-bed floor in perfect condition.
Bed walls, not so much

98 Chev has nothing (mostly due to gooseneck ball) and the internals of that box look horrible, while the outside of the whole truck looks pretty respectable (aside from the bullet hole in the box)

Granted, both Chevys have been worked pretty hard during their existence, and the Ranger could not be called a real pickup at all, but it still got used for messy light duty stuff.
The new one has not yet been put to any work other than commuting and is currently not in my possession due to a hailstorm that damaged every panel but the tailgate. (Work order calls for 44 days)

If corporate policy doesn't allow sprayin, I assume anything removable is ok?

I'm a sprayin guy myself but I did have the weathertech mat in my last truck for just short of 4 years. It fits pretty much like their floor Mats and extends up the sides several inches. Pretty good protection for 90% of the stuff we put in the bed.

If I wanted full coverage but removable, I probably would give the bed rug product a try.

I have a Ford drop in. I’m a drop in guy, requested it specifically. I don’t really see any downfalls, the rubber hole plugs are a little janky but it’s not like I unplug and plug them everyday and if I did then I would probably just not plug them back in. With the boxlink and the trim around the other openings it’s not blowing out of the truck.

I looked at that, I wish they made one that covered the entire bed

Mine fits perfect and I do like that I can slide things around. No complaints so far and there won’t be any rust with the bed being aluminum.
