So I’m going to be traveling and my 2021 lariat will be parked in long term storage for two months. I don’t want it to go into deep sleep mode, so i was thinking of doing scheduled starts once a week and letting the 30 min auto shut off turn it off. Anyone ever do this? Bad idea? Any other options? Thanks in advance.

truck will not do it. You can do two remote starts then you have to start it in person. deep sleep is not a bad thing since it will preserve the battery so you can start it. You just have to use the key to unlock the door to get into the truck. If you have push start, key is in the fob.

The one thing that happens when it goes into deep sleep mode you can not get any updates for the truck and might have to reboot the infotainment system that what I was told by ford sync adviser

How long does the truck need to sit for it to go into deep sleep mode?

If leaving the truck for a bit, it's best to disable updates. That way the truck is not waking up and checking.

depends on the state of the battery. If the original Ford battery, I know mine doesn't last that long, maybe a couple of weeks if it's fully charged. In the winter I keep my truck on a battery tender. I think I'm going to be replacing my battery this fall. It will be almost 3 years old.
