I went to see a Weather Guard toolbox on FB marketplace this past weekend. It was your standard full size model, a 127-5-01. Looked good, price was good, went to fit it on the truck and imagine my surprise when it wouldn't fit up to the front of the box because the factory box liner corners interfere with it!

Suffice to say I left disappointed without the toolbox. Anyone else had this problem? What sort of toolboxes will fit?

Assuming you mean the "drop-in" liner and not the spray in?

IME it's not uncommon that drop-in bed liners don't 'play nice' with such toolboxes. Much depends on the specifics of the bed-liner and the toolbox.

Sometimes a work-around is modifying the bed liner (cut / trim) if willing to undertake that 'permanent' alteration.

Doesn't help you but that's one reason many of us prefer spray-in liners.

Good Luck!

I prefer drop-in because they cushion impacts a lot more than a spray-in. Had a spray-in in my '15 Denali and hated it. It was actually slipperier than all the drop-ins I've had.

Also, my '23 is a lease so I'd rather not hack up the box liner for a toolbox.
