New to the Forum so hoping this isn’t a tired conversation to anyone….
The infotainment APIM that Ford uses
I’m hearing the APIM is not reliable and I’m having to have it replaced already on my 2025 F150 Lariat that I’ve had for 4 months.
Is this common?
My real frustration is that it seems to be a very known problem for Ford and the dealerships don’t stock the APIM module - they have to order it from Montreal. This seems ridiculous as I’ve now been waiting close to a month.
The module makes the large central console screen run. Tons of things all work through that screen so it’s a huge pain.
I’ve decided Ford gets 1 replacement for this critical module. Then I move to another manufacturer. There is no excuse for a 4 month old truck to have this problem when today’s trucks cost more than my first house!
